CS/SB 2060: Insurance Department

GENERAL BILL by Banking and Insurance ; Geller

Insurance Department; directs dept. to adopt rules re market conduct exams & license applications; prohibits motor vehicle insurers from imposing surcharge or discount due to certain factors; prohibits insurer or agent from issuing or signing certain certificates of insurance; provides additional exception to requirement that minimum of 2 months' premium be collected to issue policy or binder for motor vehicle insurance, etc. Amends Chs. 624, 626, 627, 631, 641.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
