GENERAL BILL by Council for Smarter Government ; Brummer ; Cantens ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Murman

Judicial Nominating Commissions; revises membership of & procedures governing appointment of members to each judicial nominating commission; prohibits justices & judges from serving; requires Governor to seek to ensure racial, ethnic, & gender diversity of membership; requires consideration of county representation on circuit judicial nominating commissions; provides for suspension of members for cause, etc. Creates 43.291; amends 112.3145; repeals 43.29.
