SB 1434: Detention of Suspected Offenders
GENERAL BILL by Crist
Detention of Suspected Offenders; authorizes law enforcement officer to search person who has been detained upon reasonable suspicion that person is armed with dangerous weapon rather than upon probable cause to believe that person is armed with dangerous weapon; clarifies that term "fresh pursuit," for purposes of authorizing such officer to arrest person outside officer's jurisdiction, includes pursuit of person who has committed traffic infraction. Amends 901.151,.25.
