CS/CS/SB 1072: Identity Theft/Internet Fraud

GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Appropriations Subcommittee on Criminal Justice ; Crist ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Aronberg ; Cowin ; Atwater

Identity Theft/Internet Fraud; expands definition of personal identification information; revises elements of offense of criminal use of personal ID info. in which such use results in unlawful benefit, injury, or fraud; clarifies that Florida judges with jurisdiction over specific crimes have authority to issue search warrants for electronic evidence relating thereto, regardless of where electronic evidence is situated, etc. Amends 817.568, 934.23, 921.0022; creates 92.605.
