CS/CS/SB 1782: Guardianship
GENERAL BILL by Finance and Taxation ; Judiciary ; Saunders
Guardianship; redefines term "professional guardian"; revises procedures for registration of professional & public guardians; provides for Elderly Affairs Dept. to contract with not-for-profit entity; provides for voluntary registration as public guardian of state college or university or independent college or university; allows court to require nonprofessional guardians to undergo credit checks & background screening, etc. Amends Ch. 744.
