GENERAL BILL by Appropriations Subcommittee on Criminal Justice ; Comprehensive Planning ; Posey ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Argenziano ; Fasano ; Smith ; Lynn

Law Enforcement Fair Defense Act; redefines term "law enforcement officer" for purposes of payment of costs & attorney's fees in certain actions commenced against said officer; revises circumstances under which employing agency of law enforcement officer has option of paying legal costs & attorney's fees in action arising out of officer's official duties; provides for jurisdiction re legal costs & attorney's fees, etc. Amends 111.065.
