CS/SB 1762: Trauma Care

GENERAL BILL by Health, Aging, and Long-Term Care ; Saunders ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Cowin ; Atwater

Trauma Care; authorizes certain counties to levy surtax to fund trauma services by ordinance, subject to referendum approval; requires DOH to promote development of trauma centers & agencies; provides boundaries for state trauma system plan; requires DOH to perform assessment of trauma system & report its findings to Governor & Legislature; provides guidelines for such assessment & annual reviews, etc. Amends Ch. 395, 212.055, 401.24. APPROPRIATION: $21,000,000.
