CS/SB 2196: Insurance Payments/Escrow Accounts

GENERAL BILL by Banking and Insurance ; Geller

Insurance Payments/Escrow Accounts; requires insurer to reinstate, under certain circumstances, insurance policy that is cancelled due to failure of lender to pay premium for which sufficient escrow funds are on deposit; requires that lender reimburse property owner for any penalties or fees paid for purposes of reinstating policy; requires property insurers to reinstate canceled policy as required by specified provision, etc. Amends 501.137, 627.4133.
