CS/CS/HB 901: Middle Grades Reform Act

GENERAL BILL by Baxley ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Antone ; Carroll ; Culp ; Kilmer ; Sansom

Middle Grades Reform Act; creates said act; provides purpose & intent; requires implementation of new or revised reading & language arts courses; provides for implementation of rigorous reading requirement in certain schools; requires study of academic performance of middle grade students & schools with recommendations for increase in performance; requires personalized middle school success plan for certain students, etc. Creates 1003.415; amends 1001.42, 1008.25, 1012.34.
