CS/CS/CS/HB 129: Consumer Protection

GENERAL BILL by Vana ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Bucher ; Hasner ; Henriquez ; Justice ; Porth

Consumer Protection; prohibits use of deception to obtain certain personal information for commercial solicitation purposes; revises criminal penalties re offense of fraudulently using, or possessing with intent to fraudulently use, personal identification information; requires business persons maintaining computerized data that includes personal information to provide notice of breaches of system security, etc. Amends Ch. 501, 817.568,.5681.
