HB 53: Indigent Child/Public Defender
GENERAL BILL by Meadows
Indigent Child/Public Defender; requires that public defender represent indigent child taken into custody on specified grounds; requires that court appoint counsel for indigent child if child's parent or legal guardian is alleged victim in case; provides that parents or legal guardian shall not be liable for fees, charges, or costs upon finding by court that parent or legal guardian is victim of offense, etc. Amends 27.51, 985.033.
