CS/HB 7001-D: Ad Valorem Taxes/Tangible Personal Property
JOINT RESOLUTION by Policy & Budget Council ; Government Efficiency & Accountability Council ; Attkisson
Ad Valorem Taxes/Tangible Personal Property; Proposes amendments to the State Constitution relating to ad valorem taxation and elected property appraisers. With respect to homestead property, this revision 1) adds an additional homestead exemption for most homestead owners, 2) exempts certain low-income seniors from ad valorem tax on their homesteads, 3) provides an additional homestead exemption that diminishes over time for first-time Florida homebuyers, etc.
