SB 1220: Infectious Disease Testing/Juvenile Centers [SPSC]

GENERAL BILL by Wilson

Infectious Disease Testing/Juvenile Centers [SPSC]; Requires each juvenile assessment center or juvenile detention facility to have a written procedure regarding the testing of juveniles for infectious diseases. Requires the DOH to designate certain counties, if approved by the county's governing body, to participate in a program to test each juvenile for HIV who is referred to or who is under supervision of the DJJ. Provides that informed consent is not required for an HIV test, etc.
