SB 938: Debt Settlement Services [CPSC]
GENERAL BILL by Bennett
Debt Settlement Services [CPSC]; Requires that a person be licensed if he or she provides or offers to provide debt settlement services to a client who resides in this state. Requires the fingerprinting and background screening of licensees and certain personnel of the licensees' businesses. Requires an applicant or licensee to notify the Office of Financial Regulation of any change of the application information within a specified time, etc.
