GENERAL BILL by Local Government Affairs Subcommittee ; Van Zant ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Fant ; Smith ; Tobia
Public Works Projects; Prohibits state & political subdivisions that contract for construction, maintenance, repair, or improvement of public works from imposing certain conditions on certain contractors, subcontractors, or material suppliers or carriers; provides exception; prohibits state & political subdivisions from restricting qualified bidders from submitting bids, being awarded bids or contracts upon being selected, negotiating contracts upon being awarded bids or contracts, or performing work on public works project.
Effective Date: upon becoming a law
