GENERAL BILL by Appropriations Committee on Pre-K - 12 Education ; Burgess

School Safety; Requiring a sheriff to establish a school guardian program if a school board contracts for the use of security guards; requiring the Office of Safe Schools to convene a workgroup of specified entities; requiring the Department of Education to establish a centralized system to integrate all panic alert systems and digital school maps used by specified entities; requiring that a person who serves as a school security guard be approved by the sheriff, etc. APPROPRIATION: $450,000
