CS/CS/SB 1394: Indigent Care Surtax
GENERAL BILL by Fiscal Resource ; Comprehensive Planning, Local and Military Affairs ; Mitchell ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Lee
Indigent Care Surtax; expands authorized use of indigent care surtax to include trauma centers; requires plan set out in ordinance to include additional provisions concerning Level I trauma centers; authorizes funds received to be used to generate federal matching funds under certain conditions & authorizes payment by clerk of courts; provides for surtax to be conditioned upon approval by majority vote of electors, etc. Amends 212.055.
