HB 2393: Florida Retirement System

GENERAL BILL by General Government Appropriations ; Pruitt ; Fiorentino ; Fasano ; Goode ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Sanderson ; Goodlette

Florida Retirement System; provides that certain benefits under Fla. Retirement System chapter shall be considered supplemental benefits; directs State Board of Admin. to establish optional defined contribution retirement program for members of FRS; provides that members employed in regularly established position shall be vested after 6 years of creditable service; reduces service time required to qualify for disability benefits to 8 years, etc. Amends FS.

Effective Date: 07/01/2000 except as otherwise provided
