HB 1971: Water Supply Policy
GENERAL BILL by Natural Resources & Environmental Protection ; Harrington ; Baxley ; Byrd ; Needelman ; Paul ; Sorensen ; Greenstein ; Machek ; Bendross-Mindingall ; McGriff ; Bense ; Murman ; Russell
Water Supply Policy; requires that each local government provide in its growth management plan for the long-term availability of water supplies for approved land development; directs local government comprehensive plans to coordinate with regional water supply plans; allows certain alternative water supply facilities to recover costs of such facilities through rate structures, etc. Amends Chs. 163, 373, 403, 570.
