CS/SB 94: Consumer Collection Practices
GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Laurent
Consumer Collection Practices; prohibits certain communications with debtor who is represented by attorney; prohibits causing of charges to be made to debtor; revises civil remedies for engaging in prohibited collection practices; provides for damages in class actions; prescribes circumstances under which liability does not attach; provides for application of federal precedent re corresponding federal laws; provides applicability, etc. Amends 559.72,.77.
