CS/SB 294: The Victim's Freedom Act

GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Crist ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Hill ; Argenziano ; Atwater

The Victim's Freedom Act; provides for cause of action for protective injunction against sexual violence; provides for petition to be filed when sexual violence is reported to law enforcement agency & victim is cooperating in any investigation or when respondent who was sentenced to imprisonment for sexual violence has been or will be released; prohibits assessment of filing fees for petition for protection against repeat, sexual, or dating violence, etc. Amends FS.
