HB 55-B: Medical Malpractice Insurance

GENERAL BILL by Ambler

Medical Malpractice Insurance; cites act as "Malpractice Insurance, Liability & Litigation Reform Act" (MILLRA); requires Administrative Hearings Div. to designate administrative law judges to preside over actions involving health care practitioner; creates Florida Center for Excellence in Health Care as not-for-profit corporation; provides that defendant's monetary liability shall not exceed $250,000 on any action brought under certain section, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $1,139,908.
