HB 1489: Nursing Homes
GENERAL BILL by Altman
Nursing Homes; provides components of plan for resolution of nursing home liability claims; provides that licensee is liable for certain violations or negligence by licensed nurse practicing under direction of licensee; requires that presuit notice of claim against nursing home facility be given to each prospective defendant; provides that any party may elect to participate in voluntary binding arbitration, etc. Amends FS.
Effective Date: 07/01/2005 except as otherwise provided
