GENERAL BILL by Commerce and Consumer Services ; Communications and Public Utilities ; Constantine
Public Service Commission; creates Committee on Public Service Commission Oversight as standing joint committee of Legislature; requires that commission perform its duties independently; specifies that Governor has no planning or budgetary authority with respect to commission; specifies exclusive jurisdiction of PSC to regulate telecommunications companies; requires that broadband service remain free of state & local regulation, etc. Amends FS.
Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
