SB 230: Discrimination Based on Disability [WPSC]

GENERAL BILL by Joyner ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Dean ; Aronberg ; Gelber

Discrimination Based on Disability [WPSC]; Substitutes the term "disability" for the term "handicap." Provides that an impairment that limits one major life activity is a disability. Provides that the Florida Commission on Human Relations may delegate its functions relating to the Florida Civil Rights Act. Authorizes the commission to recover expenditures made on behalf of persons seeking relief. Provides for a direct-support organization to support the commission, etc.
