CS/CS/SB 578: Disability Awareness
GENERAL BILL by Education Pre-K - 12 ; Children, Families, and Elder Affairs ; Ring ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Norman ; Braynon ; Garcia ; Sobel
Disability Awareness; Requires district school boards to provide disability history and awareness instruction in all K-12 public schools during the first week in October. Provides for individual presenters who have disabilities or teachers who specialize in exceptional student education and who are currently employed at the school to provide the disability history and awareness instruction.
Effective Date: upon becoming a law
