CS/SB 1910: Conflict of Interest/Indigents

GENERAL BILL by Judiciary ; Campbell

Conflict of Interest/Indigents; requires that court review alleged conflict of interest without disclosing confidential information; provides for withdrawal of public defender unless court determines that conflict does not exist or court is unable to make determination; requires each circuit conflict committee to assess circuit's conflict representation system; requires that committees report findings & recommendations to Legislature. Amends 27.53.
