CS/SB 198: Emergency Management

GENERAL BILL by Comprehensive Planning, Local and Military Affairs ; Comprehensive Planning, Local and Military Affairs

Emergency Management; revises amount of annual appropriation from Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund; requires that funds from such appropriation be used for additional purposes; deletes exemption from requirement that certain educational facilities be constructed as public shelters; prescribes duties of Board of Regents re identifying public hurricane evacuation shelter space on certain campuses; deletes requirement for submission of report, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $11,800,000.

Effective Date: 07/01/2000 except ss. 13-25 shall take effect 10/01/2000
