CS/HB 1667: Elevator Inspections

GENERAL BILL by Council for Smarter Government ; Benson

Elevator Inspections; requires that elevator service maintenance contracts be made available to DPBR upon request for oversight purposes; provides that each elevator owner is responsible for inspections & correction of code deficiencies; extends period of validity of certificates of operation from 1 to 2 years; requires DBPR to separately account for funds collected for inspection of elevators in Hotel & Restaurant Trust Fund, etc. Amends Ch. 399, 509.072, 553.74, 604.50.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law except as otherwise provided
