CS/CS/CS/SB 562: Medical Malpractice

GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Judiciary ; Health, Aging, and Long-Term Care ; Saunders ; Peaden

Medical Malpractice; (THIS BILL COMBINES CS/CS/S562,1912) allows board within Health Dept. to appoint administrative law judge or hearing officer who has certain expertise to hear case involving standard of care; creates Fla. Center for Excellence in Health Care; requires development of statewide electronic infrastructure to improve patient care & delivery & quality of health care services, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $1,139,908.

Effective Date: 07/01/2003 except as otherwise provided
