CS/CS/SB 1464: Patient Safety

GENERAL BILL by Appropriations ; Health, Aging, and Long-Term Care ; Health, Aging, and Long-Term Care

Patient Safety; creates Florida Patient Safety Corporation, which shall be registered, incorporated, organized, & operated in compliance with specified provision; authorizes corporation to create not-for-profit subsidiaries; requires Patient Safety Center at FSU College of Medicine to study return on investment by hospitals from implementing computerized physician order entry & other information technologies re patient safety, etc. Amends FS. APPROPRIATION: $463,500.

Effective Date: Upon becoming law
