SB 298: Teacher Salaries

GENERAL BILL by Book ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Torres

Teacher Salaries; Requiring each school district that has not yet reached a specified minimum base salary to use its share of the teacher salary increase allocation in a specified manner; authorizing school districts that have met the minimum base salary for full-time classroom teachers to use funds to raise the salaries of specified personnel; authorizing, instead of prohibiting, district school boards to use advanced degrees as a criterion in setting a salary schedule for certain personnel; authorizing certain instructional personnel to continue to use a salary schedule adopted before a district school board adopts a performance salary schedule or opt into the performance salary schedule, etc.
